About Me
“Up a steep and very narrow stairway” may be a line from A Chorus Line but it was also my reality for 16 years. Growing up attached at the hip to my dance studio (which was in fact up a steep and narrow stairway) gave me a place to discover and craft the Abbie you see today. Whether i'm grooving in contemporary, kicking face in a heel, getting funky in jazz, or strapping on the pointe shoes I adore any time I can express myself with movement. In addition to the dance world, the show tunes that rang through my house got into my blood and I found myself studying voice and performing the entirety of Les Mis in the shower at eight (sorry mom). I pride myself on having a diverse range from indie pop, to classical soprano, and all the fun things in between.
Originally from Central New York I have had my eyes set on NYC since my first trip there at three. If there is one thing I hold onto from my childhood it is that telling stories is my passion. I love to push boundaries, and constantly discover new ways to connect with an audience. I strive to find new and unique ways to convey an intimate and specific message whether that is to three or three thousand people. All of this led me to attend Nazareth University for a BFA in musical theater with a minor in dance. Here I have had the joy of honing and discovering many new things about myself as an artist for the past 4 years.
When I am not cooking up something for the stage you can find me growing my record collection, playing with all things fashion, reading a great book, or visiting a museum and learning something new!
